Features including easily understood symbols, illumination, and colorful shapes are common in
A.
paintings from the Gothic period.

B.
paintings from the Romanesque period.

C.
Islamic art.

D.
paintings done by monks

1.) What period of time is this referring to? All of these things have been/are used to show religious devotion.
2.) I wouldn’t say that it was the ONLY source of wealth/power but the Feudal System depended on land.
3.)Symbols and shapes are the basis of ALL art work. Illumination applies only to religious art. That could still be from any period.

I hope these questions did not come from a school text book b/c if so, you are getting shafted on your education.
